PRESENTATION

Christoph Studer-Harper practice is defined by performative, sculptural and installative elements. His work originates, as he puts it, “from a place of desperation and necessity”. His preferred materials are wood and textile, and he acquires new skills and production methods whenever necessary, keeping him in a constant progression between amateur and professional.

He often likes to use strategies to withhold information, leaving viewers in uneasy states of ambivalence and danger, as they can’t be completely sure of what has happened or will happen.
