PRESENTATION
Belgian, born 1987, lives and works in Brussels, Belgium
Edouard Pagant’s work revolves around drawing, performance and video. Around these mediums, three axes can be advanced to illuminate his preoccupations.
First of all, the question of Alterity in the broad sense (cultural or individual to individu). What are its movements, but especially what representation we make of the Other or the Elsewhere in terms of our cultural imagery?
That of Trace as an imprint of an event, an act or an experience. Re-attached to the one of the body as tools of experience, as a compass of the possible.
Finally, the Context (geographical, historical, spatial) and its study, as a revelator of problems and tools of precision in the position.
