PRESENTATION
After spending a year in Palestine, Julie Deutsch has been developing her work around the issues of territories and their borders, and the methods used to make them exist, persist or disappear. Visible or invisible, official or unofficial, these boundaries divide communities, or create new ones. Her work examines the issues and effects created by these borders, and also the ways that an artist can address these borders without asserting their legitimacy, among many other issues.
